Mindfulness is based on Vipassana meditation, a form of meditation that is more than 2,500 years old.

BARAKA launched it’s «meditation school» more than 20 years ago and has continued to be pioneers in Mindfulness in Spain. The team works at the forefront of research and teaches in this field together with other institutions at a university level. In this program, instructors of Mindfulness in Sevilla will finish their training with sufficient tools and experiences to be able to design programs customized to teach Mindfulness to groups.

The training in Sevilla will last for six months (one weekend and a month), which will analyze topics as diverse as acceptance, mood, Mindfulness, yoga and meditation, positive psychology and many others. The most important factor of this training will be commitment to practice. Each month different practices will be proposed. They will also have a personalized program adapted to their emotional profile. The main objective is to prepare each student so that they may evaluate different people’s capacities and dispositions whom they are going to instruct and to be able to design a program that will ensure good results for them.

The training session includes an online support platform where one is able to access course materials and other complementary courses. In addition, it gives access to a private network of communications so that students may be up to date with the events and be able to interact and share experiences with the rest of the group and professors.

This course will end with a quiet retreat in a natural environment. Where students will have to demonstrate all the techniques learned through an intense practise. During this intensive practice one will be led to a state of great concentration and will be given great mental clarity. It is a state in which one will be given understanding as to why things happen to us. During the retreat, students will have the opportunity to present their findings made throughout the course.

There are many good reasons to join this course. Additionally, we hope you will have a good relationship with professionals and meet new people interested in cultivating care and learning to live more consciously and in solidarity. If you are interested, you can download the registration form and book your spot.
