MINDFULNESS (ADVANCED)

Mindfulness can be understood as being fully aware and attentive. Specifically how to be thoughtfully present in the current moment. It tries to teach how a person may focus on the present moment in an active way, trying not to interfere with what is felt or perceived at that moment. Mindfulness as a therapeutic procedure seeks to look at the emotional aspects and other non-verbal processes that are apart of one’s condition, without avoiding or trying to control them. Control over uncontrollable events subjects automatic processing and requires mere experimentation and natural exposure with the least possible interference.
BARAKA launched it’s “meditation school” more than 20 years ago and has continued to be pioneers in Mindfulness at a state level. Since its opening, BARAKA has been dedicated in researching the different potentials and benefits of mindfulness, especially in four areas: psychological well-being, mental health, labour and education. In this advanced training of Mindfulness, instructors have designed a training course in which MBIs instructors must obtain. Not only for their work to have a sufficient level of guarantee but so it may be beneficial for those who apply and thus may avoid adverse effects. All research and work that has been done so far in other contexts and other countries have been applied to our practises and we’ve paid special attention to the most advanced and empirically tested developments. For this reason, we have a group of teachers with one of the highest levels in the field of Mindfulness, that are prestigious and highly prepared.
This advanced training course builds upon the developments from our basic training course in Mindfulness.

The training aims to develop the following skills for the instructor:
• To be able to distinguish between the different states of mind related to mindfulness and other mental states, especially those that are clinically relevant.
• To develop a basis for the practical individual qualities that belong to the field of non-verbal communication and ethics.
• To know and develop the keys to success in therapeutic relationship. As well as, to know and develop key competencies in the transmission of knowledge and dynamics of groups.
